Introduction
Loki3D is a procedural playground for creating interactive art.
The runtime and editor are powered by web technologies and provide an environment for the creation, exploration, and sharing of procedural real-time graphics that you can experience from any supported web browser.
Procedural Art
Loki3D is a node based, data oriented visual programming environment. This means you can create interactive and dynamic art without having to write any programming code. The goal of these nodes is to create interesting and dynamic images, changing over time or through user interaction. You can change the nodes being used, creating different effects, change their properties, change the connections to other nodes, swap out assets. It encourages rapid prototyping. You don't have to throw away work when exploring ideas.
The extensive library of built-in node types allows you to create and explore ideas without any programming. Custom script nodes, with a built-in script editor, allow you to extend Loki3D with your own ideas.
Sharing and Collaboration
Loki3D provides a collaborative web based editor. No need to download any software, and scenes can be worked on by multiple people simultaneously. Share your work with others. Allow people to collaborate on your project, or use your project as a starting point so they can add their own twist to it. Loki3D is about the sharing and exploration of ideas.
